Application Integration Solutions
for JD Edwards Customers
Data silos, disconnected business processes and manual exceptions management can be time consuming, frustrating and ultimately bad for business. Many IT departments need to connect JD Edwards to other systems such as CRM, eCommerce, PLM, email servers and even content management and portal solutions like Microsoft SharePoint in order to bridge the value gap between the promise of ERP and the reality of everyday business.
The need for integration spans JD Edwards World, XE, EnterpriseOne and other enterprise software applications running on diverse databases, operating systems, and platforms. And yet each of these systems requires specialized interfaces, APIs and business functions. Finding a certified approach to integration can be difficult and implementation requires careful planning.
Ideally, IT departments will take an approach that follows the principles of best practice for integration: loose-coupling, service orientation and event-driven architecture. Pre-built adapters for JD Edwards World, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, eBusiness Suite, Peoplesoft, SAP, Salesforce.com, Lotus Notes, Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint, IBM i (AS/400), HL7, Google Apps, and hundreds of other components, resources, methods, services and wizards are needed for streamlined integration.
With an integration platform one can take advantage of built-in connectivity and intuitive tools for interfacing to a wide variety of standards and databases, including Web services, messaging, FTP, directory scanning, .NET code, Java code, HTTP, data-mapping, and more.
Best practice approaches will reduce or eliminate programming by allowing for visual business process designs that leverage adapters, wizards, services, and methods for configuring the flow of information between enterprise systems.
This requires integration approaches using Oracle approved technologies such as business functions (BSFN) and z-processes. Recently inducted in the JDE Alliance, Magic Software provides the iBOLT Integration Platform, support and service to integrate mobile apps or legacy enterprise applications.
